"Jacob the Tyrannosaurus Rex" in The Red Gumboot Storytime Colouring Book (Spring 2008)
Christina Richard was born in Kitchener/Waterloo, Ontario and when she was growing up, she loved to draw animals. She studied animation at Sheridan College near Toronto and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she worked as an animator, illustrator and sketch artist in the multimedia industry. She particularly enjoyed working on products for kids that had an educational impact.
In 2003 she and her husband moved to Salt Spring Island, British Columbia after falling in love with a little farmhouse. They now have ducks, chickens, sheep, a cat and bunnies. Christina sells her art cards, prints and watercolour paintings at the Salt Spring Saturday Market and will soon be selling her line of cards and prints on her website. She also loves to teach art workshops to kids on the island.
Christina is currently working on her own children's book about her ducks and is also very excited to be illustrating the story "Jacob the Tyrannosaurus Rex" in The Red Gumboot Storytime Colouring Book.
