Crystal J. Stranaghan is no stranger to the rain! She was born in Ocean Falls B.C., and spent her childhood in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island.

Torn between her fascination with real people and the ones that exist through stories, her education has been a balancing act between studying English Literature and Psychology.

Crystal spent several years as a professional fundraiser for non-profit societies, and travelling around BC doing workshkops on goal setting, teambuilding and event planing and promotion for student groups.

After two years of living in Ireland, where she completed a Masters Degree in Health Psychology, Crystal has returned to Canada and is settled in downtown Vancouver with her extremely supportive other half who is also a writer (and just crazy enough to think starting a publishing company would be fun!).

Crystal is the author of several books for children, including: Then it Rained, Vernon and the Snake, The 13th Floor: Primed for Adventure and Faeries Are Real, and when she isn't making books she enjoys travelling around to schools and teaching students about making books and being an author!

You can learn more about Crystal on her official website.

Rosa Espadaler was born in Gerona, Spain. She has been drawing since her earliest years and has always wanted to become an artist. She happily places the blame for this single minded determination squarely on the shoulders of Walt Disney and his marvelous imagination.

Rosa has completed a five year bachelor degree in digital design in Barcelona, Spain where she is currently living. In addition to illustrating children's books (she is hard at work on her next book already), she is working as a web designer for a multimedia company.

Rosa loves to express herself through her paintings and to share the happiness, calm and fun she feels when drawing with others. Her favourite reward for sharing her artwork with others is winning a sincere smile from her audience.

Then it Rained is Rosa's first children's book to hit the bookstores, but she is hard at work on her next book Caleb and the Mess coming next year from Gumboot Books.

You can see more of Rosa's artwork on her official website.
